Cheshire 2011 Pig 50 Supreme Champ .jpgA homebred British Saddleback boar from Mr John Sutcliffe, Bridgefield Farm, Lowick, has secured the interbreed pig title.

Coal Yeat Grand Duke is by Chapel Grand Duke 11 and out of Chapel Octavia 6 and is the main stock boar for Mr Sutcliffe’s herd of 30 Saddleback sows.

Judge Martin Snell praised Duke for his good conformation all the way through and good locomotion.

Mr Sutcliffe said his good mobility was due to the fact he had been working out in the field with 12 sows.

This one’s full sister secured breed champion at the Stafford Show. Duke will now be heading to the Great Eccleston Show.
