The first animal away is a British Blue cross cow having run with Brockhurst Vanquish with a Limousin heifer calf at foot, this outfit sold for £950.

Just following that was a bid of £810 for a Hereford cross cow with Limousin cross calf at foot by Brockhurst Premier.

The next Blue cross cow due to calve in April to Brockhurst Vanquish in to the ring has gone for £800. Trade is continuing in the £610 – £730 region with buyers obviously cautious due to bluetongue movement restrictions.

Commercial trade ends with young Blue cross and Limousin crossbred heifers selling for £435-£500 a head, with Peter Smith of Smiths of Bloxham moving asway from his usual spending spree in to buying a bargain!
