The first of the overall titles has been decided here today at Countryside Live, with the Baby Beef championship being taken for the second year in succession by John Smith Jackson, Haltwhistle.

His winner was from the lightweight steer class, a May-born Limousin cross Super Trouper. This one is by Shire Apollo and is out of a Limousin cross dam and is a full brother to last year’s title winner Mamma Mia. Super Trouper tipped the scales at 258kg.
