Crowd favourite takes Welsh Black title

There was near unanimous ringside approval for the Welsh Black champion here at thew Royal Welsh when Tecwyn Jones took the overall title with his senior bull Seisiog Bedwyr 129.

Bedwyr is an impressive sight with plenty of stretch and loin about him and a backend that’s full of flesh too. By Mynydd Morgan and out of Seisiog Bet 94, he is stock bull for the Jones’ herd, but will be sold next spring as a number of his daughters are now coming into the herd. He’s got a fair chance in the interbreed later today for what my opinions worth.

Reserve here was the heifer Dancoed Ceridwen 3 from Gwynfryn and Marian Phillips. She is by Seisiog Cymru and out of Seisiog Awena, making it a one-two double for Seisiog breeding.
