Judging is progressing well here at the NEC with the overall interbreed and exhibitor bred heifer titles already awarded.

The Wills family continued their strong run of results here at the Dairy Event and Livestock Show, clinching the interbreed heifer title with their Holstein heifer Riverdane Gold Ashlyn, a Braedale Goldwyn daughter bred by Mark Nutsford before being bought by Willsbro when they purchased the entire Riverdane herd.Lot151.jpg

Standing reserve overall was the Jersey heifer leader Bluegrass Comericas Pink Heather, a Bridon Remake Comerica daughter from the Daw family. The Holstein and Jersey were tied on 57 points each on the panel judging system, however, the Holstein picked up four perfect 10 scores to the Jersey’s three, landing her the title.Lot 241.jpg

But the Jersey stole the honours in the exhibitor bred championship ahead of the best exhibitor bred Holstein, Sterndale Gold Ashlyn, another by Braedale Goldwyn, this time from Bill Nadin.lot 137.jpg
