David’s double delight in Charollais rings

The Charollais rings were the busiest among the sheep lines this morning with more than 40 sheep forward for judge Charles Sercombe to place.

And while numbers may have been only half what they have been in previous years, the quality remained high.

Taking the championship was David Roberts with his aged ewe, with his shearling standing reserve, netting David a well deserved double – probably not the last he’ll enjoy today!

The champion is a ewe bred by John Scott, Kendal, and purchased at Builth. She is by Chestnut Park Dumbledore and was previously interbreed champion at Shrops and West Mids.

David’s reserve, the shearling ewe, is homebred and by Logie Durno Emperor.
