Dingwall and Highland Marts report a strong trade at yesterday’s sale of store lambs at Dingwall, with the overall average up some £15 on the year.

Topping the Cheviot wether lambs at £64 was a single lamb from 27 Portgower, Helmsdale, these averaged £47.54 for the 4489 sold. The Cheviot ewe lambs were, meanwhile, led by a pen of 15 at £69 from 91/92 Achviach, Dornoch, 2466 sold levelled at £45.76.
