Taking the top ticket in the judging at the Solway and Tyne Texel Club’s show and sale at Carlisle was a shearling tup from Douganhill Farms. This one was Douganhill Phoenix, a Lauder Nugget son out of a dam by Milnbank Jersey Ducdeck.

Reserve overall was the first placed ram lamb from Bruce Renwick. This one, Castlecairn Ranaldo is by Knock Powerpacker and out of a Rascarrel Masterpiece sired dam.

Second place in the shearling tups went to Haltcliffe Pharoah from Messrs Ridley. He is a Llangwm Noddy daughter out of a Cairness Major-sired dam. And second spot in the tup lambs went to the same breeders with Haltcliffe Rock-n-Roll, a Drumpark President son out of a dam by Haltcliffe Logic.

Selling starts this morning at 10am with the tup lambs followed by the shearlings at 1030…..
