Leading the way for draft females here in Stirling was John Young’s skerrington Rebecca 40th. This August 2008-born heifer by the Popes Laird son Corskie Proton us out of the Dovefields Gallant daughter Skerrington Rebecca 14th. With a milk figure of +7 and a whopping SRI of +46 and TI of +37 she found a new home with Mr McCulloch.

Next at 3500gns was another similar bred heifer, this time out of the Rosebud line, sold to M cruikshank, Aberdeenshire, who also paid 2900gns for Skerrington Susan 20th, a daughter of Corskie Proton out of a Dovefields gallant daughter.

Leading trade for Finley McGowan’s draft was Dirnanean Wren W6, a daughter of Halenook Panache out of Dirnanean Polly P1. She sold for 3500gns to Colin Inglis, Fife. Their next best was Dirnanean Windorah W19, a daughter of Burndennett Spain, which sold for 3000gns to Philiphaugh Estates.

Topping the draft offering from the Westridge herd of Mr and Mrs Ward was their first in the ring, Westridge Legend Nancy 2, a daughter of Burghbridge Legend out of a Ravensworth Hermon. This one sold for 2400gns to Nicky Field who was buying on behalf of a Mrs Beer.

Next at 2800gns was Westridge Pedro Natasha 2, a daughter of Orlando Pedro which sold to C Douglas, Fife.
