Livestock farmers and farm employees will be able to visit next year’s Livestock Event free of charge, according to event organiser RABDF Events.
It is a move that has been made following the impact the current low prices are having on all livestock farmers and the supply sector, said RADBF chief executive Nick Everington.

“For 2016 we have agreed to offer free visitor entrance to all livestock farmers and staff who pre-register and we are pleased it is one that has been endorsed by the majority of supply sector companies,” he said.
The move will save livestock farmers at least £20 on the gate price (based on 2015 ticket prices). It will apply to all dairy, beef and sheep farmers, their partners, families and staff – farm managers, herd managers, herdsmen, stockmen and shepherds who pre-register and present their e-ticket at the gate.
Exhibitors looking to book stand space at next year’s event will also be eligible for a discount if they secure their booking before January 2016.
The stand space schedule for the event, which will take place on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 July at the NEC, Birmingham, can be viewed online.
This year the Livestock Event attracted more than 400 trade stands and over 16,000 visitors, making it the largest sector event in the UK. It has also been rated the number one event out of the UK’s top 25 agricultural shows in terms of the number of orders taken along with the quantity and quality of enquiries received.
