Leading Limousins

British Limousins are still the leading beef breed sire in Britain for the 10th year running according to the latest BCMS figures.

British Limousin cattle society chairman Aled Edwards says it is the breed’s ability to deliver performance, predictability and profitability, on a consistent basis throughout the UK which is the cornerstone of its success.

Recent figures show that 709,122 Limousin sired cattle were issued with passports in 2005, the third consecutive year the 700,000 barrier has been broken, representing 35% of the market share.
