Limousins dominate commercial classes at Royal Norfolk

Taking the top ticket in the commercial beef classes here at Royal Norfolk was the Lyon family with their Limousin cross heifer Cher. This 505kg beast is by Burnbank Bullet and was bought from last year’s Welsh Winter Fair as a suckled calf for £1200. She is out of an Aberdeen-Angus cross dam and may now head for the Great Yorkshire.2962011 RN Commercial.JPG

Reserve overall was Phil and Sharon Sellers’ Limousin cross heifer Scarlet. Bred by Wendy Morgan she was also bought from the Welsh Winter Fair and tipped the scales here at 520kg. She had stood second in the class to Cher and followed her through to be reserve overall. She is being targetted at the winter season.
