Limousins on top form in Balmoral

It’s a day of celebration for the Limouisn breed today as they picked up a host of championships. The first of which was the Beef Bull interbreed performannce class judged by Donald Biggar, this was one by the Limousin male champion Derriaghy Enfield from Davy Green.

This young son of Broadmeadows Cannon then teamed up with Barney O’Kane’s June 2009-born heifer Keadyview Eileen, an Ampertaine Abracadbra daughter out of Carmore babe, to take the interbreed pairs competition.

Reserve here was the Aberdeen-Angus pair, with the overall breed champion Blelack Elijhah teaming up with John and Ann henning’s cow and Drumcorn Ergessa.

The Limousins then re-grouped to win the interbreed group of three. This team consisted of the overall breed champion and interbreed champion Clonlara Valance from the Crawford Brothers as well as Sylvandene Defoe again from the Crawfords, but this time exhibited under their Conmans prefix, this pair was joined by the reserve champion female Milbrook Celine.

Taking the reserve spot here was the Salers group.
