There may have some caution in terms of bluetongue zoning around the sale ring at Little Bovey Farm, Devon this week, but that didn’t stop Henry and Emma Vooght putting on a good display for their pedigree Charolais production sale.

No stranger to show ring success the herd was founded in 1987 and has won various championship tickets including the Royal Show. The decision has been taken to maintain a herd of 50 pedigree cows and introduce a herd of 100 Holstein Friesians.

And it was one of the herd’s show winners and catalogue’s cover girl that led trade on the day. Littlebovey Tee is by Maerdy Naser and out of Maerdy Oye and has a self replacing index of +34 and milk figure of +11. She knocked down at 4200gns to an undisclosed buyer.
