Lleyns reach 900gns at Stirling

Top call at the show and sale of Lleyns at Stirling was a 900gns bid for the champion ram from the pre-sale show, a shearling from N Lawrence, Blackpots, Ellon. This one sold to Willie Davidson, Poldean.

At 700gns was a shearling from Lagga Farms, Orkney, whihc was bought by I and Macrae, Tighnabruaich, Argyll.

And just behind at 680gns was one from Farmstock Genetics, Selkirk. He was snapped up by C Campbell and Son, Girvan. At the same money was a shearling from Hamish Goldie which sold to Mr McHarrie, Isle of Islay. Lagga Farms then sold another at 620 to Messrs Macrae.

In the females on offer the top call of ÂŁ150 went to a pen from David Alexander, Ayrshire which were bought by M Cromby, Falkirk. Hamish Goldie then sold a pne at ÂŁ135 to D W Dick, Dollar, Clackmanackshire and Lagga Farms traded a pen at ÂŁ130 to Culfargie Estates, Balbeggie. At the same value was another pen from Hamish Goldie which sold to D W Dick.

Top call in the ewe lambs was a ÂŁ102 bid for a pen from Farmstock Genetics which sold to M Cromby, Falkirk. and at ÂŁ100 was a pen from J F Allan, Biggar, which went to B Macleod, Bardspark.
