More Carlisle Beltex news

Here are a few more of the price highlights from Friday’s Beltex sale at Carlisle, hopefully this will bring everything up to date and fill in a few of the gaps.

At 5000gns was Broughton McIvor from the Dunlop family, Biggar. This one is by Airyolland King Size and out of Corstane Dorothy. With an index of 215 and a gigot score at scanning of 70.4mm, this one sold in a three way split to Kevin and Rachel Buckle, P and A Moss and J R Wilkinson and Sons.

Another from the Broughton flock and a full ET brother to their 5000gns sheep then went on to make 4800gns in  a two way split. This one sold to John and Heather Barclay and D and J Cruikshank.

And at 4200gns was Kingledores McGregor from Richard Wood. This Clary King Pin son out of Ulysses daughter Artnagullion KFC sold to EWG Scotland.

Then at 3600gns was Ballydown Magnus from Martina and Patrcik McNeil. This ET bred son of The Rustler out of a Belgian dam was first prize shearling ram at Lurgen show and sold in a three way split to Doreen Mair, Stuart Wood and R R T Williams.

A 3500gns bid saw Wade and Alison McCrabbe sell their best Cookstown Mr 11th. Bred by Jim Elliott, this one is by Cookstown Kelso and out of an Elbert daughter. He sold to a consortium of Richard Wood, Brian Ryder and E J and A M Fox.

The couple’s next in the ring, Ardstewart Mustang, by Ardstewart King of Spades and out of Ardstewart Helena, then sold for 3200gns. This one was also shared, this time between Thomas and James Whiteford and Keith Harryman.
