More Deehaven Holstein highlights

Here are a few more highlights from today’s Deehaven Holstein sale. At 4400gns was Deehaven Talent Erland Red. This VG 85 rated cow gave 10,733 in her first laction, is a daughter of Ladino Park Talent and out of a dam which averaged 11,300 litres in four lactations. She sold to Geoff Ullyott.

Then at 4000gns was Deehaven James Alma, daughter of earlier 7000gns sale Deehaven Magnet Alma. Rated VG 87, this one is by Shoremar James and gave 10,613 in her first and has given more than 4400 in 95 days of her second milking and went home with Steve Pinninger, Wiltshire.

And at 3600gns was Deehaven Lorenzo Fancy. She is a VG 89 cow by Lystel Lorenzo and out of Deehaven Windstar Fancy. Having given more than 10,000 litres in both her first and second she was sold having been AI’d last September to Magor Bolivia Allen and joinsW D and M M Thomas, Brynmeillion.

Selling at 3400gns was Deehaven Salto Monica, a Gen-I-Beq Salto daughter out of Ex 91 classified dam Deehaven Breeze Monica. March 2007-born Salto Monica is unclassified herself and was sold carrying an embryo due this month which is by Braedale Goldwyn and out of Deehaven Outsdie Milly. Her dam Deehaven Breeze Monica gave more than 12,000 litres in her second and third lactations and sold to W P and E G Williams, Waliswood.

And at 3300gns was Deehaven Terrason Anna, a GP 84 classified 2005-born daughter of Innwood Terrason. Having calved in February last year, Terrason Anna gave more than 10,000 litres in her first lactation and was sold dry having been AI’d to Cedarwal Spirte in December. This daughter of Ex 90 classified Deehaven Igniter Anna was again bought by Messrs Williams.

Averages; 158 cows and calved heifers £1688.30; 18 served heifers £2187.50, 1 bull £2625 (Norton and Brooksbank).
