The fifth class of Limousin bulls this morning was won by Messrs Ridley with Haltcliffe Darcy, a Sympa son out of Sapho, second was Bruce Goldie with his black bull Goldies Black Detroit, a Normande Arapaho son out of Goldies Veil and third was Normande Diehard from Norman Cruikshank.

TS 785.jpgIn the sixth class the top placed bull was Maraiscote Dakota, a Virginia Andy son out of Maraiscote Tricia, second was Halcliffe Drambuie, another Sympa son out of Haltcliffe Tequila and third was Goldies Delta.

The next class went to Newhouse Black Dominator from the Adam family, this is by Tamarvalley Boscastle and out of Newhouse Teak, second was Spittalton Domino, a Rocky son out of Spittalton Roberta from John Burnett and third was Normande Deco.

And the eight class was taken by Lodge Drummer from the Callions. He’s by Sarkley Voltigeur and out of Lodge Viola, second was Newhouse Black Denver another Boscastle son out of Newhouse Star and third was Ballinloan Dansk from Stuart Fotheringham.

The black bulls are definitely making their presence felt, but I would have to say Stephen Irvine isn’t entirely comfortable in giving them top tickets, being an ardent red Lim fan himself.
