Police are appealing for help after a newborn lamb was shot in the head and killed with an air rifle.
The lamb was found dead with a pellet lodged in its head on a farm in Brotton, in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Cleveland.
The incident happened at Shepherds House Farm between 8:30pm on Sunday (26 April) and 10am on Monday (27 April).
Farmer Maurice Bolton, 72, found the dead lamb at about 8am on Monday after a walker alerted him.
