A farm in Brecon has been shocked by the birth of sextuplet lambs – particularly as the ewe is sill rearing all of the lambs on her own.

David Evans and Lee-Ann Richards of Cefn Crai Farm, Trecastle, Brecon in Powys described it as a ‘lambing miracle’.

“One of our ewes gave birth to six healthy lambs all of which are still alive and being solely reared by the ewe.

“During discussions with other farmers in our area we are very aware that this is a rare event, especially as it was natural i.e no sponges, PMSG used.”
