Well, after a late finish last night the second day of this week’s bull sales at Stirling has dawned and judging has been underway in the Simmentals for more than an hour already.

The general feeling from yesterday was that both the Angus and Limousins enjoyed trades which were better than expected with commercial men still digging deep enough to secure the bulls they wanted, in many cases competing with pedigree buyers to get them.

As for the Simmentals today, its safe to say I expect a lot more of the same, with solid bulls making solid money, although I’m not predicting any flyers. The Charolais tomorrow could be a different story with a Balmyle bull from Bill Bruce attracting plenty of attention so far.
