Full judging rings in the sheep section were the highlight of the second day of the this year’s Royal Welsh and many breed’s were fortunate to have excellent displays of sheep to show the crowds which gathered.
Last year’s interbreed title winner Tim Pritchard lifted the championship again in the Charollais section with a homebred shearling ewe by Glatreys Dominator.
In the Welsh mule section it was the shearling ewe of Messers Thomas which took top honours ahead of the ewe lamb winner from the Jones family.
In the Berrichon Du Cher classes it was the Yeos who won the overall championship with their ewe.
And our final photo of the day comes from the Derbyshire Gritstone lines and is their champion, a ewe lamb from Mr Chapple-Gill.
