The Simmental bull trade has suddenly taken off, with bids of 20,000gns, 16,000gns and 13,000gns all being made in recent minutes.
Leading the trade is the reserve overall champion, R J Boyd’s junior bull Slievenagh Talisman. He is by Kilbride Farm Newry and out of Slievenagh Madonna and was bought by Henry Widdicombe.
Taking the 16,000gns call was the overall and junior champion Andrew Hanna’s Stralongford Trojan. This one is by Omorga Murray and out of Stralongford Nuala, he was bought by the judge Brian Grant.
The 13,000gns bid, meanwhile, was made for W H Robson and Sons’ Kilbride Farm Tweed. This Cleenagh Flasher son is out of Kilbride Farm Jolly.
