Simmentals sell to 4,700gns at autumn breed sale

Leading trade at Fridays autumn Simmental show and sale was a 4,700gns bid for Chestermann Carlisle 11 forward from N and N Gwynne. This Blackford Ringleader son, who is a very easy calving sire is out of Hirwaun Mabli and selling to J B Henry, Galashiels.

Next at 4,400gns was the day’s male and overall champion B T and M C Raymond’s February 2011 born Ben-Nant Cedric 11. This won best calf in the 2011 herd competition and was 2nd prize winner in the elite class at the Royal Welsh Show this year. He is by Dovefields Gallant and out of Ben-Nant Viola selling to R H Widdicombe, Devon.

 

(Lot 9) Male & Supreme Champion sold for 4400 Guineas.JPGreszie.JPGNext in the money was a 3,900gns bid for an entry from Bill and Christine Heaps, Chorley with Rosten Cheyenne 11. This Kilbride Farm Newry son is out of Rosten Wednesday 9th and sold to McDowall and Co, Newton Stewart.

 

Another from the Gwynne family, Chestermann Callum 11 then made 3,800gns. Also a February 2011 born bull this Kilbride Farm Wick son is out of Chestermann Ringleader Maries and headed home with WW Dunlop and Son, Roxburghshire.  

 

Just 100gns less was D F Williams’ March 2011 born bull Needwood Czar 11. This Hockenhull Absolom son was reserve junior at the Ashby show this year and sold to W A and C M Vaughan, Cumbria.

 

Then at 3,600gns was Robin Bell’s bull Teviot Colonel. This one is by Dirnanean Salvador and out of the milky cow Hockenhull Sarah 22nd. He sold to J A Fisher, Wigtownshire.

 

Female entries lead trade at 3,500gns for another entry from the Gwynne consignment. Chestermann Ringleader Mirander3 is by Blackford Ringleader and out of Chestermann Kramer Mirander and sold to R B Oliphant, Dumfries.

 

Next in the money at 3,100gns was the female champion Pasturefields Princess 5th forward from Pasturefields Livestock. Princess is full sister to the famous show cow Pasuturefield Princess and was only for sale due to a herd reduction. This Gretna House Supersonic daughter sold to G and S Towers, Redcar.

 

Burytown Dispersal

 

David and Nicky Fielddispered their herd at the autumn sale due to personal family issues and realised some good money with a top of 4,000gns for Tirley Mellissas Jasmine. This Forsdale Lucky daughter carries a figure of +12 for milk and was sold with no calf at foot to J C Innes and Sons, Aberdeenshire.

 

Next at 3,800gns was New Meadown Careless Whisper who is out of the show cow Burytown Wilma. This Corskie Wham daughter heads home with J C Innes and Sons.
