A brace of £1100 bids were the highlights of last week’s show and sale of store cattle with show potential at Skipton. First to take this call was the day’s champion, a British Blue x Limousin heifer from J and G Huck, Hubberholme. Sired by Luke Royal Admiral, this one sold to Hannah Jeffrey, Broxa.

champ blog.jpgThe second to make this money was the day’s reserve champion from the pre-sale show, a Limousin sired steer from Ian Townson, Clitheroe. This was sold to show judge Jeff Burrow, Kirkby Malham.

reserve champ blog.jpgSelling at £1060 was another from Mr Townson, this time a Limousin cross heifer which won its class. She sold to Mrs Jeffrey.

And then making £1000 was the second prize winner from the same class, this time from Joe and Trevor Stoney, Pateley Bridge. Buying this one was Stephen Maskill, Hebden Bridge.
