Stirling (Perth) Beef Shorthorn bull preview

We’re rattling through the previews now, with just a couple to go. Here’s my pick of the Shorthorns entered at Stirling.

First pick is Stonehills Transformer (lot 80) from G Riby. This is by this year’s Royal Highland breed champion Elliot Bodaciuos and out of Stonehills Lovely Gazelle, an Uppermill Loch Alsh daughter. He was second at the Highland this year.

Then I’ve chosen Langalbuinoch Barney (lot 84) from the McAllisters. He is by Newfield Tarquin and out of Langalbuinoch Yvonne, a Loch Awe Saxon daughter. He was first in his class at the Highland and beef champion at Bute, he has a TSI of +16 and an SRI of +15.

Uppermill Bandit (lot 88) from James Porter is next. This is by Uppermill Bartle and out of Blythesome Justice, a Newfield Colonel daughter. He comes with a TSI of +20 and an SRI of +18.

I’ve gone for Tofts Harlequin (lot 89) next from James Playfair-Hannay. This is by Chapelton Promoter, a bull I admired in the past and is out of Tofts Holly, a Belmore Uptown daughter. He has a TSI of +18 and an SRI of +17.

Blelack Magic Man (lot 94) from the Massies is next. This is by Blelack Secret Service and out of Blelack Magiclady, a Buffalo Lake Dustbuster daughter. He has a TSI of +18 and an SRI of +17.

And my final pick is one from Donald Biggar’s Chapelton herd, Chapelton Clarion (lot 95). This is by Canvas Yankee and out of Cavans Waterloo, a Chapelton Masterkey daughter. He has a highly impressive TSI of +25 and an SRI of +16.
