Monday’s sale of in-lamb Texel and Charollais ewes at Stirling saw trade hit a high of 4000gns for a Texel from Messrs Scott’s Drumpark flock.

This one is by Kelso Oxygen and sold to A and J Alston, Menmuir, Brechin. Second top price of 3000gns went to Jimmy Douglas, Cairness, for his second prize gimmer by Kelso OJ.   This sheep was bought by Alistair Beaton, Wester Crosshill, Slamannan.

Two gimmers sold at 1500gns, one being the first prize sheep from James Innes and Sons, Dunscroft, to ,S Crowe, Hawkhill, Keiss, Wick for a sheep by Millar’s Outstanding. The second was from Kerr Jarvie, Cherryfield, and was by Hull House Nijinsky. This gimmer was also bought by Ms Crowe,  Wick.

Charollais sold to a top of 500gns from R and M Paterson, Upper Auchenlay, to Mr C Sutherland, Kirkhill, Muckhart.
