This one has had previous success at Honiton Show two years ago where she won interbreed champion and will now go to the Royal Cornwall Show.

She was bred by Darrel and Gail Jefferies of the Dargale Flock and was sired by Sanafan My Way.

Mike Waycott has historically seen success at the Devon Show having also taken  the interbreed sheep title in 1984 with a Grey Face Dartmoor.

Loosebeare Rebel is by Dougan Hill Lonestar which was champion at Carlisle when purchased by the flock. Stock out of the ram’s dam line have also sold up to 10,000gns.

He’ll be retained as a stock ram for the flock of 300 ewes and will be shown at the Royal Cornwall Show later in the year.

Judge Mr R Weaver said: “The champion was much better in the hind legs than the two below her. She is a great character ewe with plenty of strength and breedingness and a good carcass to go with it.”
