Stealing the Scottish Super Cow title wasDilandy Debonair Tabitha Red ET, co-owned by Brian and Sheila Yates, fromCastle Douglas and J and G Lawrie, Ayrshire.

She was bred by Bryan Challenor and AndrewShakeshaft, who purchased her as an embryo from Luck-E Holsteins in the USA. Sheis sired by Scientific Debonair Red ET and was bought by the winners for anundisclosed sum.

The April 2009-born cow calved in Octoberand is currently giving 52kg of milk a day.

Speaking of his selection Judge John Gribbonsaid she had the best udder in the field. He added: “She is a strong cow, withgreat length and great chest width.”
