Farming health planning is critical to livestock businesses, according to results from a Farmers Weekly survey.

More than three-quarters of farmers answering the survey on health planning said it was a fundamental part of their business, with the majority of respondents saying they looked at it more than once a year.

More than 150 livestock producers filled out the survey. Of those, 42% said they wanted a better relationship with their vet and 52% said they only called out their vet in an emergency.
