Well after a hectic three days that’s it from the Royal Welsh for the Taking Stock team (well not much of team as there’s only two of us).

It’s been a cracking show with some excellent stock on parade in all sections, notably the sheep and I was particularly delighted to see Roland Williams pick up the reserve interbreed sheep title with his Southdown shearling tup. Many moons ago in a previous career I helped Roland buy some of his original ewes, so it was particularly pleasing to see him do so well.

Now we’re heading off, but unfortunately its not homeward bound, we’ve a day in Cumbria tomorrow and then we head north of the border to Edinburgh for the Suffolk sale, so keep an eye here on Friday for a full live report from ringside.
