The Solway & Tyne Texel Breeders Club in-lamb female show and sale saw the top price of 2,100gns go to a shearling gimmer form Mr Kerr Jarvie’s Tapanui Flock, Cherryfield, Perth and Kinross.
The top priced animal was bought by JS Robinson, Dunkirk Avenue, Carnforth, Lancs.  Tapanui MBX100081 was put forward as a substitute to the original catalogue entry, and went on to take the title of overall champion on the day.
This shearling gimmer is by Garngour Onxyx and out of Hull House Nijinsky.  She was sold in-lamb to Milnbank Sound Investment.
Other leading prices on the day included 1,100gns for Peacehay CFP1000165(1) from Messrs Frank Henry Chave & Son.  This one is by Fachell Outlook and out of Ettrick Net Profit; she was sold in-lamb to Castlecairn Phoenix, by Castleknowe Matchmaker.
There were also two 900gns calls for females – Llangwm JLI09014(2) from Iolo Prys Jones, and Arkle WGA1000063(2) from Messrs G H & G G Wilkinson.  The Jones’ female went to J & H Thomas, Bryn Garth, North Wales, and the Wilkinson’s one went to M Watson, Four O Boot, Cumbria.
