Texel ewes realise 600gns top at production sale
The 14th annual production sale from the Aman and Teilo flocks of pedigree Texel sheep with guest consignments from the Ifan Ddu, Scurlage Castle and Welsh Flocks saw a top price of 600gns realised.
This was for a yearling ewe from the Teilo flock. This one was by the 7,000gns Knock Nugget and out of a Baltier Miles Better maternal sister to Aman Hen Annwyl. She is a full sister to the first prize ewe lamb at the NSA sale 2010 which sold for 1,650gns. Carrying a single to Crewburn Silver Spur she was purchased by Stelfox Farms,
Then at 400gns was an entry from the Welsh flock. A Beautry ewe that was placed 4th out of 52 at the RWAS in 2009. Carrying twins to Garngour Schumacher she was purchased by Messrs Lewis, Llangwathen Farm, Lampeter Velfrey.
