Young people in the dairy industry are being offered the chance to win a trip to Shanghai, China, to attend the 2006 International Dairy Federation Congress.

The Milk Development Council and Dairy UK are offering the scholarship – open to under-35s – to help bring well-practised, inventive ideas back to Britain.

Kenny Campbell, a dairy farmer from Dumfriesshire and past winner, said:

“The information I gathered has given me more confidence to make business decisions at home as well as contribute more fully to the dairy industry debate.”

Applicants must be younger than 35 on 1 September 2006.

Forms can be downloaded from www.mdc.org.uk or from www.dairyuk.org , or call Jennie Weaven on 01285 646 506.

The deadline for entries is 11 August.
