A woman dog walker has been trampled to death by cows on a farm in Wiltshire, according to the local ambulance service.
The Great Western Ambulance Service was called to Grove Farm, near Chippenham, at 8:40am by a passer-by.
Wiltshire Police has begun an investigation into the death and a Health and Safety Executive inspector was reported to be en route to the farm to establish how the woman – believed to be in her 70s – died.
A Wiltshire Police statement said that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
The statement added: “Formal identification has not yet been carried out and officers are in the process of informing her next of kin.”
The woman’s dog was also injured and is being cared for by vets.
