Action at the Farm Handling Experience

The UK’s first hands-on telehandler driving event opens today at Stoneleigh.

The free-to-enter Farm Handling Experience allows visiting farmers and contractors to try the latest machines from the likes of JCB, Merlo and Dieci in different working areas.

There are several muck areas, plus potato box stacking, bale moving and heaps of woodchip to shift, so there should be plenty to get stuck in to.

Manufacturers in the test-drive area

  • Avant
  • Dieci
  • JCB
  • Massey Ferguson
  • Merlo
  • New Holland
  • Valtra
  • Zetor

There are also loader-tractors, skidsteers and pivots, as well as a line-up of static stands.

We’re expecting good numbers of farmers and contractors on each of the two days, but there are still spaces to get on the machines so you can turn up on the day – there’s no need to book.

Ideally, visitors will bring their telehandler certificate, but if it is lost deep in your piles of farm office paperwork then don’t worry – you can take a brief competency test when you arrive.
