The winners of the 2009 Farmers Weekly farm inventions competition, David and Pam Carbis, also won a free trip to the Agritechnica Show, including travel and accommodation.

The Carbises have a beef, sheep and cereals farm at Ruan High Lanes, near Truro and won the competition with a brilliantly-conceived fencing machine that automatically places the posts in position, knocks them in and fits the wire.

Also in the picture are Malene Conlong, international communications manager at the DLG (the show’s organiser) and FW machinery editor David Cousins.
