Can-Am to show ATV with clever key system
Canadian ATV maker Can-Am says it will show its new Outlander 500 DPS ATV at Lamma. This is fitted with the company’s Tri-mode DPS steering system that uses three levels of steering assistance to match the terrain. Power comes from a 61hp Rotax engine.
The DESS anti-theft key system uses electronic key codes that have to match those on the ATV’s engine control module. Therefore the machine will not start unless the coded microchip in the key matches the pre-installed code.
Two keys are included with each model. The performance key allows the ATV to operate at maximum performance while the normal key limits acceleration and top speed. Cost is £9,799
