Having multiple screens in your cab, cluttering your vision, looks to be on the way out with the EASY app from Claas.

It boasts the ability to control any Isobus-friendly implement from one iPad-size screen.

Two functions have been certified by the Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation – the Isobus-compatible terminal and the auxiliary control. The latter gives the operator the choice of transferring a range of implement functions onto a multi-function lever with an aux input.

The EASY app is a cheaper option than buying a terminal for each machine, the company claims. The app is programmed to assume the tractor and implement are connected via an Isobus cable.

A WLAN adapter is required, which connects to the in-cab socket giving the iPad the freedom to connect with the implement.

The free-to-download app is available only on the Apple platform and requires a running system of IOS 9.0 or later, with the German manufacturer stating that existing Claas users will be familiar with the screen layout.
