Combination drill on show at Cereals

Visitors to this week’s Cereals 2006 event will have spotted Pottinger’s Terrasem 4000 combination drill.

The 4m trailed drill can be equipped with a choice of two rows of star-wheels or a short disc harrow as its leading cultivator.

The coulters are equipped with a serrated disc and integrated seed outlet.

This set-up is said to cut a slot and clear trash before seed is dropped into the soil.

Each coulter is individually spring mounted and trailed by a rubber-wheeled pressure roller that provides consolidation and uniform depth placement over the whole working width.
