On Saturday (15 August 15 2009) a new Guinness world record was achieved in Platin, Duleek, Co. Meath, Ireland.
A record number of 175 combine harvesters cut simultaneously in one field. Although conditions were damp early in the morning, the sun and a light breeze meant things could get under way and by 5pm the 175 combines began to roar.
The massive cavalcade began to edge through the wheat, meaning the 140-acre field was harvested in just 15 minutes.
