Deutz Fahr launched 84hp, 95hp and 104hp Agrotron K-series tractors last year and is now set to introduce the 120hp K120 to the UK market.
The range-topping model will be available in two different specification levels – Standard and ProfiLine – and is powered by a liquid-cooled Deutz four-litre turbocharged engine.
When it comes to gearing the units are fitted with a 40kph transmission with three powershift ratios in four manually selected gears.
This doubles up using an electro-hydraulic “road” and “field” range selector to generate 24 forward and 8 reverse speeds.
An optional creeper box increases the transmission rations to 36 forward and 12 reverse, producing working speeds as low as 0.25kph.
Both the standard model and the ProfiLine feature an automatic powershift level adjustment which is claimed to provide a smooth transition when range shifting, however the ProfiLine model gains automatic powershift speed matching.
The operator can adjust the sensitivity of the system in relation to engine load and speed, allowing the transmission to alter the point at which the four powershift ratios are automatically shifted.
On the hydraulic side, the ProfiLine model also boasts greater performance with an 83-litre/min hydraulic pump compared to the lesser 55-litre/min unit on the standard machine.
The ProfiLine is fitted with four electronically controlled spool-valves with flow and timing facilities compared with the three manual valves offered on the standard.
