The Wakefield jacket changes in low light conditions

Workwear maker Dickies – famous for its ever-popular budget overalls – has launched a new jacket that changes in low light conditions, meaning there is no need to lug around a separate high-vis coat in your truck.

The Wakefield is a soft-shell jacket that, at first glance, is a smart-looking grey coat with some black detailing.

However, in poor-light areas the jacket changes and becomes fully reflective, which means you will be seen in dark grain stores and working at night in unlit yards.

The sleek appearance of the breathable and waterproof jacket will keep workers and bosses smart all day, rather than being saddled with a fluorescent yellow coat in bright sunlight.

With internal pockets and a hood, the jacket retails at £62.95 + VAT.
