Opico will launch a 6.3m hydraulically folding version of He-Va’s grass sward rejuvenator at this year’s Grassland & Muck event.
The new model is designed primarily for overseeding grassland but can be used on cultivated land, too.
It uses the same design as the smaller 3m version, including a front board with slicing plates, two rows of beefy tines and a weighty 600mm Prisma roller to pack the ground down behind.
An Air Seeder is mounted to the back of the cultivating section and works at speeds of 5-8kph, drilling up to 80kg/ha of grass seed or as little as 0.5kg/ha for clover seed. Radar seed metering is controlled electronically from the cab and there are 16 outlets across the drilling width.
He-Va uses a weight system to distribute load evenly across the whole machine – a set-up previously seen on its Cambridge rolls. In addition, five pivot points are designed to help the implement follow ground contours.
Retail price for the folding 6.3m version with the rear mounted Air Seeder is £38,824.
