High-Spec Xcel 1250 that shreds and spreads at the same time

Hi-Spec is set to launch a muck spreader which, the company claims, can handle foreign objects in muck – stones, concrete blocks or fencing stakes – without causing damage to the machine.

The Xcel 1250 shreds muck using 24 flails made from Hardox steel attached to a rotor shaft with chains tested to 40t, and spreading is achieved by four shearbolt protected vanes mounted on two rotors positioned beneath the rotors.Spreading width, depending on material, is 18m.

The chassis is constructed from 10mm plate steel and the body sides from 4mm plate. The spreader’s gearbox is rated at 200hp and the Xcel 1250 requires a tractor having a minimum of 100hp to operate. Automatic floor chain tensioning is a standard feature.

Also included in the specification is a slurry door and slurry door height indicator, hydraulic brakes, full road lighting and large tyres.
