Precision crop production company Soyl revealed an upgrade of its web-based precision management platform, MySoyl at the recent Precision Farming Event in Newark.  

MySoyl is already used by more than 4,500 UK growers to generate and manage maps along with other data related to aspects of crop production.

As well as refinements that will improve the speed at which growers can upload and access data, the upgrade will allow them to simultaneously view and compare up to eight separate layers of information, not just in the farm office, but now on a tablet too.

Amazone DynamicSpread

Amazone used the event to launch its new DynamicSpread dynamic part-width section control system.

Currently the ZA-TS and ZG-TS Isobus fertiliser spreaders has section control software and, up until now, the maximum number of part-width sections has been 16.

However, for those users who wish to spread even more precisely in wedge-shaped fields, short work or around obstacles, Amazone has developed section control for the ZA-TS Hydro mounted and the ZG-TS Hydro trailed spreaders.

The new GPS-enabled system is able to switch 64 or 128 part-width sections, resulting in matching of both the spread width and the spread rate to the field shape.
