JCB expands excavator range with sub 3t models

JCB has added eight compact excavators to its range of 0.8t-2.8t machines.

The new micro and mini digger line-up includes conventional and zero tailswing designs and machines available with fixed and expanding track frames.

Starting with the smallest, the 8008 CTS and 8010 CTS Micro excavators weigh 800kg and 1,000kg respectively and have a travel width of just 700mm.

In the 1.5t-2.0t department, there’s the 8014 CTS, 8016 CTS, 8018 CTS and the 8020 CTS for use with standard buckets or powered attachments.

The two smaller models use a fixed width undercarriage, while the larger, more powerful excavators have a hydraulically extending track frame for extra stability when working with heavier tools.

At the top of the JCB mini excavator line-up, the 8025 ZTS and 8026 CTS can still be transported behind a 4×4 with a 3.5t towing capacity.

The 8026 CTS has a conventional tailswing while the 8025 ZTS has been designed with a zero tailswing counterweight for working in tight spaces.
