Kubota launches new STV series

KUBOTA HAS introduced a three-model range of compact tractors into the UK and Ireland.

Called the STV series, the tractors are powered by Kubota diesel engines and range in power from 32hp to 40hp. The engines all have what Kubota calls a triple vortex combustion system (TVCS).

The company claims that this system leads to very efficient mixing of fuel and air in the combustion chamber, giving increased engine performance and reduced emissions. A three- range hydrostatic transmission provides infinitely-variable control of forward and reverse travel up to a maximum speed of 30kph (19mph).

A clever turning system speeds up the front wheels on tighter manoeuvres, pulling the front of the tractor through corners to give an un-braked turning circle of 2.5m.

Prices start from 15,500 for the STV40 model – a cab adds 2950 to this.
