KUHN HAS acquired Brazilian drilling equipment specialist Metasa.

The company manufactures zero-till precision drills for planting crops such as maize, soya and cotton. The acquisition will enable the Kuhn group to gain direct access to a distribution network on the South American continent where the agricultural market is rapidly expanding, according to Kuhn.

The French firm maintains the purchase of Metasa will add complimentary products to the current product range, while the company will also benefit from a new research and development centre in Brazil.
