LAMMA 2012: Mastenbroek’s Herder Muskatier
Proving popular on the Mastenbroek stand was the British company’s new Herder Muskatier.
A smaller machine than previously offered, the latest hedgecutter features a new slewing design that avoids the use of a cylinder to keep the attached equipment within the width of the tractor.
Suitable for lighter tractors, control remains electric joystick-based and includes an auto contour option. The trenching specialist’s standard Muskatier provides a working radius of up to 5.4m from the slewing pivot, with the choice of adding a sliding boom to increase reach to 6.2m.
Aimed at roadside contractors and larger farmers, the base price of the Herder Muskatier is £40,000.
